Kayle Sandberg-Lewis has impressed me with her depth of knowledge and breadth of experience in neurofeedback. Kayle is intelligent, articulate, caring and has a great sense of humor. I feel very comfortable in referring my patients to her and know my patients will be well cared for and in competent hands. My patients have provided positive feedback regarding their sessions with Kayle and their symptomatic relief.

I cannot describe the level of gratitude I feel to have the opportunity to work side by side with Kayle Sandberg-Lewis at 8 Hearts Health & Wellness. She is an incredible asset to the team! On numerous occasions we have collaborated on cases and her insight has been invaluable to the success of patient care. Our treatment options have worked synergistically to facilitate health and healing for our mutual clients.  Kayle is a true expert in her field and at the same time I have always felt that my case work up and/or treatment plan options have been validated and respected by her. As one can imagine, multiple providers working together on a patient case can sometimes be a difficult process but with Kayle it is seamless. I could not recommend her more as a practitioner and referral partner.

Over the past 20 years, I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Kayle Sandberg-Lewis. Kayle is an exceptional practitioner and colleague. Her dedication to her craft is truly impressive. An immigrant came to me for help because he was having difficulty learning new things, which was holding him back from fully taking advantage of living here. I tried what normally works, but after a couple of sessions, nothing was changing. It was then, after getting a more extensive history, I learned that as a young adult he was a political activist who had been arrested and severely beaten by the police, especially about his head. I realized we were dealing with severe brain injury. I referred him to Kayle for neurofeedback and with a few treatments, he felt he had his "brain back." He called to thank me for helping him find Kayle. I also send clients to her who are having difficulty making positive shifts in their perception of themselves. They are ones who suffered birth trauma, or were abused as infants or children and are stuck in survivor's brain. She helps them get unstuck so that when they return to hypnotherapy, they make rapid progress.

From Former Students:

Kayle Sandberg-Lewis is committed to educating the next generation of practitioners. She has taught at the National College of Natural Medicine since 1999.

Kayle Sandberg-Lewis (KSL) was my first mentor in applied psychophysiology and neurofeedback. The training I received from her imparted the necessary skills and confidence to launch my career as an NIH-funded affective scientist conducting psychophysiological research at top-tier academic and medical institutions. KSL prioritizes mentorship and experiential learning in a way that few clinicians do. This is evidenced by the extensive list of trainees whose clinical skills she has honed and by the innumerable clinicians- and researchers-to-be who aspire to work with her.

Working with Kayle while at NCNM was an experience that I will always look upon as transformational.  Because of her guidance in learning how to utilize the low energy neurofeedback system, I now use LENS as a primary modality in my naturopathic practice. Kayle is extremely down to earth, knowledgeable, and professional in her teaching approach.  As a prominent member of the LENS community, Kayle continues to be an essential resource to me in my practice.

Kayle has been a teacher and mentor of mine since 2005.  I cannot imagine ever learning what I have learned in the world of Neurofeedback  and the brain without her insight, guidance and expertise.  She is not only an expert in this field, she is an invaluable resource in behavioral science.  She brings humor, candor and a deeper understanding to her field, and as one of the fortunate students under her tutelage, I have filled a niche in my own practice that has proven to be a most valuable part of my treatment plans.  I highly recommend working with her in any realm!

I was fortunate to be mentored by Kayle on a neurofeedback clinic shift at the National College of Natural Medicine. The experience encouraged me to incorporate neurofeedback into my own Naturopathic practice. Through Kayle's guidance, I got an in-depth understanding of neurofeedback and patient care. Kayle is a talented practitioner, with numerous years of experience. Not only did I learn about neurofeedback, I learned techniques for guiding people to deal with stress and lifestyle changes that were essential to their well being.

I spent a year learning LENS neurofeedback from Kayle. She really helped me understand the equipment, and how best to utilize it to help patients. She continued to be a great support even after the training, and is always willing to volunteer her time to help with difficult cases or questions I have regarding the technology.
